This 1,302sqf four-bedroom apartment at Mount Vernon Road, designed by Enoch ID, is a luxurious holiday home filled with statement furniture, metallic accents and gorgeous wall coverings.
One of the standout design ideas here is the faux fireplace. A sliding door to the bedrooms and a wall feature flank the fireplace, creating symmetry in the living area.
It may look like an art piece, but this wall feature also hides the television when it is not in use. The glass door below was customised to look like fan-shaped metal grilles. The fan motif is seen on other artworks throughout the home as well.
For the master bedroom, the interior designer picked out darker shades of the palette to give it a more restful ambience for sleep. To create a larger space, he merged it with an adjacent bedroom.
Vin Leong from Haelcyon Days, compartmentalised this 829sqf one-bedroom apartment in Bugis into various “elements of surprise”. Upon entering the home, guests will be greeted by a long and striking Nero Marquina marble countertop, before being drawn to the backlit cabinet housing travel mementos.
Brass and copper accents throughout the home add to a luxurious ambience. Open the sliding door next to the wood-slat console to enter the bedroom, where its passageway is flanked by a sink vanity and glass wardrobe. There is also a cleverly concealed walk-in closet.
To match the home’s dark marble and wood finishes, the couple opted for a tinted-glass wardrobe and black granite bay window. They kept the parquet floor, whose golden brown tone adds warmth to the mostly-black space.
The same Nero Marquina marble was used to clad the sink, which was moved outside of the bathroom as “we are vain and need a huge vanity”, says the homeowner.
This capacious family home — a three-storey semi-detached house — is designed to have spaces unique to each individual, while still maintaining a unified look that is stately, elegant and absolutely alluring. The work took over a year and was overseen by Adrian Heng of Ottimo Spazi, and the result is a luxurious modern classic, hotel-inspired look.
Among furniture customised by the designer are these statement-making high-back armchairs in the lounge on the ground floor.
A concealed spacious walk-in wardrobe provides lots of storage space for bags and accessories, as well. Its design incorporates soft lighting and mirrored finishes, for an ambient dressing area.
Open sleeping and bathing areas make the room look and feel like a hotel suite.
Contemporary details are mixed with plush soft furnishings to complete the modern luxe look.
To have an entire penthouse designed as a master suite for one sounds like the ultimate indulgence and that was exactly what this homeowner wanted. In her brief to Design Intervention, she asked for a home that would serve as her retreat from frenetic city life – a space that would exude serene glamour and soft femininity.
The curved walls of the kitchen take their cue from the rounded forms of the furnishings in the living area and evoke a softer and warmer ambience.
Brushed gold strips set into the grey veneer – derived from a single tree to ensure a consistency of colour and grain – accentuate the curvature of the wall and provide an interesting contrast of textures and finishes, with the soft sheen of metal against the matte veneer.
This luxurious ensuite bath is constructed from an acrylic solid surface that allows for a visually uninterrupted form without joints or edges. A unique wall design and gold-cladded hardware are simply the cherries on top.
The sleeping zone has a distinctly soothing and romantic mood, thanks to the unique lighting fixtures and padded bay window overlooking a gorgeous skyline.
This cluster-house at Gerald Drive has charming interiors that exude a luxe, moody ambience. The interior design team at SYRB chose a darker colour palette, with black and grey as the primary colours in the living, kitchen and bar areas.
The bathroom takes a lighter colour palette, with marble-look tiles on the walls, and light wood-look tiles on the floor.
Designed by Wee Studio, this classy, hotel-inspired four-bedroom condominium apartment at The Interlace features neutral colours and many designer furniture.
To create a luxurious, hotel-inspired look, wood panellings were used as wall detail and to camouflage storage cabinetry. As part of the $200,000 renovation (including furniture and furnishings), the designers customised pieces, such as the dining table and sofa, to fit the existing layout of the home, as well as to complement fixtures and accessories from designer brands like Knoll and Lightyears.
Taking advantage of the high ceiling in the bedrooms, the designers created a cove in the daughter’s room. With dark wood-look laminate cladding the walls, floors and ceiling, the result is a cosy, restful space.
