The four-year-old homegrown jewellery brand specialises in pretty arm candy with a bohemian touch. Pieces are made with ethically sourced stones such as lapis lazuli, amethyst and agate, and some also come with 18K gold charms in the form of peace symbols and flowers.
Recently,, it introduced a more affordable bridge line called Tribal Gypsy, a series of modern, vibrant stretchable bracelets inspired by founder Shabnam Melwani’s recent travels to the sun-drenched locales of Tulum, Mexico and Ibiza, as well as the culturally rich Macchu Picchu in Peru.
Designed to be worn stacked together, each bracelet features faceted 4mm semi-precious stones like quartz and amethyst with iridescent and metallic beads on an elastic band. Another big plus: They’re priced at $29 each, while items from its core range start from US$72.69 (S$99).
The one-year-old jewellery label by Singaporean designer Li Ying focuses on classic, wearable pieces that are great for everyday. The brand’s jewellery mainly features gemstones and crystals fashioned into bold, intriguing designs.
Its latest collection, Sentient, launches this month on its e-boutique and in multi-label store Excluniqueeee (#02-17 Mandarin Gallery). The minimalist pieces, which range from necklaces to drop earrings and bracelets, feature gemstones like peridot, quartz, lapis lazuli and topaz, and is available in sterling silver and 14K gold-plated finishes. Prices range from $50 to $350.
The ten-year-old jewellery label offers a wide range of designs, from simple delicate rings to quirky statement pieces crafted out of 18K Gold and 925 Silver. This means that there’ll be something for you whatever your mood at affordable prices. Its collection featuring quartz starts from $35 for a bracelet to $85 for a necklace.
Its founder and designer Alverina Wijaya knows what it takes to run a successful fashion business – both design and business skills. She got her training in jewellery design here in Singapore at Raffles Design Institute before going on to pursue fashion marketing and management from ISEM, a fashion-focused business school, in Paris.
Its first collaboration project with Hong Kong apparel designer Kris Jane sees the brand dipping its toes in a different kind of accessory – scarves. These silk-printed colourful beauties come in five different repeat pattern designs and start from $85.
The seven-year-old jewellery label by Choo Yilin was started because of her belief that jewellery has the power to tell deep and personal stories.
It specialises in jade that is embellished with precious metals and gemstones, and has essentially turned what is typically associated with “aunties” into modern, statement pieces.
The seven-year-old jewellery brand by Carolyn Kan, who found her calling after a silversmithing course in Florence. Aside from running her label, Kan works tirelessly to promote other local gems with Keepers, a retail space for independent designers, artists and artisans.
While Kan started her label using mainly silver, her collections have grown in complexity through the unexpected combination of metal and leather elements. Inspiration comes to her from unique places – there’s the collection based on Jackson Pollock’s drip paintings and another with roots in morse code – so each piece offers a quirky story. But it’s her classic leather collection with its everyday appeal that have rested on the wrists of tastemakers everywhere.
