Following the success of our first Tour De Beauty, The Singapore Women’s Weekly held it’s second on August 22, hosting a group of women comprising celebrities, influencers and friends of The Weekly, on a beauty trip to Seoul (well, sort of).
We flagged off at the elegant Sulwhasoo BeauTEA Bar pop-up at ION Orchard. While there, guests got to experience the brand’s line of ginseng products, including the new anti-ageing Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Serum.
For each pit stop, guests got to win prizes after completing different challenges. In order to win a the signature First Care Activating Serum EX (30 ml), participants had to watch a demonstration by senior trainer Chaven Lee and answer the questions found on their game sheet. “We got to learn how to maximise different skincare products by using them in a certain order,” said beauty influencer, Cheryl Chio (@beautifulbuns_sg).
There was also a social media challenge where guests got to unleash their creativity to take pictures of the Sulwhasoo BeauTEA Bar. The best shot went to Cheryl, who won a Concentrated Ginseng Renewal Treatment, worth $260.
After enjoying some Korean tea and delish snacks, we headed to HERA at Takashimaya Department Store where for HERA’s Global Makeup Artist Lee Sehyoung was waiting for us. Guests got to pick up tips from the master on how to achieve flawless skin using the brand’s makeup products, including its famed Black Cushion. Sehyoung was also on hand to give easy makeovers to our guests. Entrepreneur Yina Goh (@yinagoh) got a lip makeover and loved how engaging Sehyoung was. “He really is a great makeup artist and is interesting to speak to!”
Guests got to swatch and test HERA’s lipsticks and one lucky guest, Candy who showed off her makeover on Instagram, received an exclusive makeover session with Sehyoung.
The event ended with each guest taking home over $200 worth of products.

And it begins! Barbara Koh flags off the tour by giving an opening speech and explained the mechanics of the activities for the afternoon.

As part of the social challenge at Sulwhasoo, participants had to take a creative photo of the BeauTEA Bar pop-up.

Guests got to experience HERA’s signature Black Cushion. With its high coverage and lasting power, it’s no wonder the cushion is a cult favourite around the world.
Besides demonstrating looks, Yehsoung also gave Yina Goh a lip makeover.
For one of HERA’s challenges, guests had to swatch lipstick shades from HERA’s Rouge Holic Collection.

And the Tour comes to an end. Overall, Guests had a fabulous time learning about the new products and each left with goodie bags worth over $200.
