Shiseido‘s counter in TANGS Orchard was the starting point for The Weekly‘s Tour De Beauty. At this station, readers got to take home Shiseido Makeup’s Synchro Skin White Cushion Compact and a Rouge Rouge lipstick of their choice.
The Weekly‘s Editor-in-Chief, Barbara Koh, mingled with participants Daphne Khoo and Tiffany Won (right) who admitted to being “beauty junkies”.

Celebrity makeup artist Larry Yeo, one of the judges for this year’s Best of Beauty Buys awards, was also a guest. Larry showed Kiss92’s Celeste Lee how to apply the Synchro Skin White Cushion Compact, and helped her find the shade that matched her skin tone best.
At the first pit stop, Shiseido’s training manager Kelvin Tay shares more about the brand’s products including the latest Essential Energy range, which will be launching in April.
As part of the social media challenge at Shiseido, guests had to complete the sentence, “My Energy Is…”. Here, makeup artists Zhou Aiyi, Dollei Seah (who was a judge for our Best of Beauty Buys 2018), Evelyn Liu and Lydia Thong share theirs.
Afterwards, they had to post their photos on Instagram with the hashtags #SWWTourDeBeauty and #ShiseidoSg.

After they were done with their challenges, everyone got to choose the shade of Shiseido Rouge Rouge lipstick they loved.
We’re off to the next station! Editor-in-Chief Barbara Koh leads guests to the next pit stop on the Tour de Beauty trail.
All smiles on board! Guests were excited to head to the next station because…
It’s Urban Decay! Here, guests were in for a fabulous treat: They were going to win two full-sized products of their choice! Needless to say, the Naked palettes were a favourite.
The Weekly‘s Senior Beauty Writer Arissa Ha welcomed guests to the Urban Decay store in Ngee Ann City, explaining what was needed for the UD challenges.
Fire, fire, pants on fire: Guests had to identify the shades of Urban Decay’s Naked Heat palette and match the colours to their names.
As it turns out, it sounded much easier than it looked! Some of the shades were much more difficult to match than others. But some of our fave hues are Low Blow and Dirty Talk.
For the social media challenge, guests had to take a flat lay photo and post it on their Instagram accounts with the hashtag #SWWTourDeBeauty and #udsingapore.
Kiss92’s Maddy Barber and Celeste Lee share a lighthearted moment together.
While at the store, guests got to try the different Urban Decay products available. Mini makeovers were also given upon request.
Directly next door, the Kiehl’s store was also bustling with excitement.
Guests also got to take home two full-sized products when they took part in the challenges. Those familiar with the brand zoomed in on their favourites – like the award-winning Calendula & Aloe Vera Soothing Hydration Mask, while others received consultations to better understand which products would suit their skin concerns.
Besides the challenges, guests got to enjoy delicious sweets and treats at the pretty dessert table by Baker V.
The Weekly‘s Aaron Kok was one of the game masters at the Kiehl’s store. Guests were given 10 seconds to familiarise themselves with five of Kiehl’s masks. They were then blindfolded and had to correctly identify the mask swatched on the back of their hand.
Guests were also given consultations so they knew which products were best for their skin.
There were also plenty of fun props for guests to take Instagram photos. Angie Chia (right) and BFF Rachel Tan enjoyed themselves so much they were asking for a second tour.
At the end of the tour, guests were given full-sized products of their choice and a goodie bag worth over $450!
And that’s a wrap! Guests went home with big smiles (and we don’t blame them).
