After an extravagant guodali and tea ceremony last week, Cheryl Wee (the 29-year-old daughter of Jean Yip), and her longtime architect beau, Roy Fong, finally tied the knot during a church ceremony, followed by a banquet at the Ritz Carlton over two nights. Here are the photos of the stunning bride and groom that you can’t miss as rounded up on her Instagram:

The bride, dressed in one of her two Vera Wang bridal gowns, made a trip down the aisle, accompanied by her father Mervin Wee, on Saturday morning.
Fairytales do come true for Cheryl Wee, who exchanged Cartier wedding bands with her first love, Roy Fong, whom she knew since she was a 17-year-old student at Victoria Junior College.
She and her husband Roy Fong, who is an architect, had a serious but serene wedding at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.
The groomsmen looked dapper in their salmon pink suits while Roy donned a smart black and white tuxedo.
Just a few months ago in February, Cheryl posted on Instagram “To the happiest YES I ever said. 5 months from today, I’m gonna be your Mrs.”
Her wait came to an end over the weekend of July 1st as the newly-hitched couple exchanged vows.
The 2-day celebration took 1.5 years in the planning and is said to be a showcase of the couple’s love story which spans 12 years and counting.
Celebrity friends Julie Tan, Felicia Chin and Jeffrey Xu were some familiar faces spotted at the church wedding, while singer Ming Bridges and actor Darren Tan formed part of the bridal squad.
Prior to their church wedding ceremony and two-day wedding dinner, the couple had an elaborate traditional Chinese betrothal ceremony (or ‘Guo Da Li’) last week.
When asked about her wedding prep, the blushing bride had this to say: “I hardly slept the previous few days ’cos I was so excited. I wanted to get fairer and thinner. But all that just suddenly faded away. When you marry the person you really love, you get this adrenaline rush and happiness that will override all things, including the eye bags and the dark eye circles.”
The wedding dinner was a romantic and dreamy affair as the ballroom and reception area was outfitted to look like an enchanted forest with unicorns, owls and deers.
Close to 1,200 guests turned up to celebrate the couple’s union (they had 600 guests per wedding night).
Lucky wedding guests were treated to a variety of performances by the couple and their families.
The opening song was performed by Cheryl’s aunt, Dawn Yip, the bride’s parents put up a skit, and the newlyweds did a song duet and a dance performance with their bridal party.
Zoe Tay, celebrity couple Hong Hui Fang and Zheng Ge Ping as well as Aileen Tan and her director husband were some of the invited guests at the couple’s wedding shindig.
And how did Cheryl know Roy was the one? “He puts my needs and happiness, and that of my family, above his own. For instance, knowing how much I love staying home, and how important my family is to me, he comes straight to me after work instead of hanging out with his friends,” she reveals.
By all accounts, Cheryl got the wedding of her dreams and much, much more. “The wedding is more than a dream wedding – much, much more than expected,” she gushed.
Of her multiple gorgeous wedding gowns: “I didn’t believe it when the lady at Vera Wang in London told me, “When a bride tries it on and knows it’s the one, that’s the one.” But it happened – when I tried on one gown, I knew it was The One – and then the brand and price did not even cross my mind. But thank God, it was a very reasonable price.”
Allegedly, all Cheryl wanted to do since she was young was to sing and dance. She got that chance at her wedding dinner when she wowed her guests with a sweet couples dance.
The gorgeously-attired couple wore a variety of outfits, including this Orient-inspired one in shades of blue, white and black.
Here, Cheryl shares a tender loving moment with her new husband as they gave out heartfelt speeches to their guests and members of the bridal party.
Cheryl was also serenaded by her talented love who hopped onto the piano to bang out a tune for his lovely bride.
No lavish wedding ceremony is complete without a celebratory “Yam Seng” or two! Here are the newlyweds with their family members getting their drinks on.
The bride and her aunt, Dawn Yip, share a sweet moment during the wedding dinner. Cheryl is the eldest child of Jean Yip and Mervin Wee, the duo behind Jean Yip Group.
