The 36-year-old Brit isn’t just a pretty face. She has a law degree from the prestigious Oxford University. While she did not pursue practicing law, she says her education has been useful in helping her memorise her acting scripts: “On the whole, it is quite a different part of the brain: Law is very analytical, and acting is more instinctive and emotionally driven. But, it does come in handy with learning lines ― and reading my own contract.”
Did you know that a young Kate Beckinsale was singled out for her intelligence in primary school? Yup! Her school reports cited a reading level of an 11-year-old when she was just six. The actress also studied French and Russian literature at Oxford University’s New College, and still fluently speaks both French and Russian, as well as German.
Cindy Crawford, who graduated at the top of her high school class, signed her first modeling contract in 1984. Initially she used the money to supplement her scholarship to attend Northwestern University, but she eventually ditched school to launch her career.
