It’s been a year of celebrity weddings, from Meghan Markle to Priyanka Chopra. And they don’t stop there. This week, Hong Kong singer-actress Gillian Chung, 37, officially got married to her Taiwanese doctor beau, Michael Lai, 32.
The couple registered their marriage in a simple but romantic ceremony in Hong Kong on Tuesday (Dec 18), before holding a lavish banquet at Ritz Carlton Hotel on Thursday (Dec 20). Take a peek into their star-studded ceremonies in the gallery below:

The pair exchanged their vows along Hong Kong’s waterfront in an intimate ceremony before about 30 family and friends, media sources reported.
Gillian wore a short blush-pink dress with a plunging neckline for the waterfront ceremony at Tsim Sha Tsui, while Michael looked dapper in a blue suit.
Guests at the event included Chung’s good friends from the industry, such as Joey Yung, Leo Ku, and of course her former Twins bandmate, Charlene Choi.
Hong Kong magnate and Emperor Entertainment Group chairman, Albert Yeung, who was among the attendees, had some “stern” words for Michael during the couple’s tea ceremony.
He warned Michael to “be good to Chung, otherwise, don’t come back to Hong Kong,” to laughs from guests.
Michael was previously married to online apparel entrepreneur, Ivy Chao, for six months in 2016. He began dating Gillian after they separated, reported JayneStars.
At their banquet wedding dinner, Gillian looked every bit the princess in a gorgeous white lacy gown with feathery shoulder detailing.
For her walk down the aisle, she wore a different gown with a long train.
The venue had a fairytale theme with blooming white and pink roses, a towering wedding cake topped by a castle as well as a photo wall that had cascading foliage – complete with tasteful splashes of ivory and gold.
Her bridesmaids, fellow singer-actresses Joey Yang and Charlene Choi, performed an adorable dance on stage.
Here’s a lovely shot of Gillian with all her bridesmaids.
Taiwanese actress and singer Michelle Chen (right), who starred in the 2011 movie You Are The Apple of My Eye, was also in attendance.
Actress, singer and TV host Rainie Yang was also there to celebrate the nuptials.
As was Angela Zhang, the Taiwanese Canadian singer.
The entrance to their banquet dinner was lined with beautiful fresh flowers and foliage.
