Feel good mantras

“I release resistance and go with the flow”

*Use this…If you struggle with change
“The only constant in life is change, yet when change comes along we often find ourselves resistant to it,” says Jeannine Verriest, energy healer and co-author of The Beauty Evolution. “By asserting that mantra you release resistance and your body will soften as you begin to surrender to the current of life. When you allow yourself to float rather than frantically paddling upstream you’ll feel calmer and, paradoxically, more in control. Similar to being caught in a rip, life – like the ocean – will always guide you back to shore.”

“May you be happy, may you be well, may you be loved”

*Use this…If you’re not feeling loved
“Everyone experiences stress and tension in their relationship at times, which can lead to conflict,” says counsellor and Coach Celina Gregory. “This mantra is a loving kindness exercise from the practice of mindfulness that will increase your compassion and empathy towards your partner. It will also open your heart to increase the flow of love to and from your partner.”

“Be here now”

*Use this…if you’re stuck in the past
“Many people hold onto the past like an old coat they can’t part with,” says counsellor Luke Sheedy. “The trouble with this is that it keeps your attention away from the now and provides and excuse to sit on the sidelines of life. Don’t let your past drive your future!”

“This mantra helps stop feelings of regret. It will help you to focus your attention in the present moment so you can grow and change, throw away that old coat and embrace this gift called life.”
