Happy 2019! It’s the New Year, and it’s the beginning of anything you want. Happier, healthier, more in control, more confident… all those dreams you’ve put on the backburner – this is your year to turn them into reality. And we at The Weekly want to be a part of making these goals happen for you.
And it usually starts off with new resolutions. For me, it’s learning to let go a bit more and be open to adventure and the unknown. I took a trip recently to Luang Prabang – many asked “to where?” when I told them where I was heading off to for a short getaway. I knew nothing about the place, and did little research prior to the holiday. Discovering the town, the people, the food, the culture was so liberating… there were no expectations and the little pleasures brought much joy. I want more of that!
For deejay Maddy Barber, whom we welcome back on air this month, resolutions include being kinder to herself and engaging more with women, pg 20, while for veteran actress Aileen Tan, it’s about taking care of her health.
But often our resolutions fall to the wayside by mid-March. So, to keep us on track and focused to attain our goals, use The Desire Map, on pg 89. It’ll help you prioritise and clear your thoughts as you look into yourself, and note down what you dream of or are dying to do.
