Bite into these Dracula doughnuts before they bite you! You can make some bloody versions using strawberry sauce for an even scarier treat.

Ingredients

  • 8 cinnamon doughnuts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate melts
  • ¼ cup chocolate sprinkles
  • 3 cm piece of black licorice strap
  • 16 red mini M&M's
  • Black writing icing
  • 16 lolly teeth
  • 2 tbsps strawberry syrup
01.

Arrange doughnuts on a lined oven tray.

02.

Place melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50 per cent) power in 30-sec bursts, stirring, until smooth. Set aside 5 mins to cool slightly.

03.

Using a small spoon, put melted chocolate on tops and sides of doughnuts for Dracula’s hair. Top with chocolate sprinkles. Set aside.

04.

Cut licorice into eight sets of eyebrows. Use melted chocolate to secure in place and M&M’s dotted in black icing for eyes.

05.

Trim white part of half the teeth to create fangs in centre. Push into top of doughnut holes. Trim pink from remaining lollies and position white strips for bottom teeth.

06.

Dollop a little strawberry syrup for blood on fangs, allowing to dribble down sides.

TIP: You can purchase cinnamon doughnuts from the bakeries or the bakery section in supermarkets.
