Dr Fock Ee-Ling, Founder & Lead Designer, The Missing Piece

Ee-ling first picked up sewing while completing her PhD in Haematology in Australia. In between long days in the lab and writing up her thesis, Ee-ling loved to shop for fabric and make her own clothes. After returning to Singapore, she worked for Johnson & Johnson for 2 years in Medical Affairs before following her husband to the US for a stint. As a stay-at-home mum, she began making one-of-kind pieces for her three children and herself. What started as a hobby then organically grew into a full-fledged business. Today, The Missing Piece has garnered its own cult following and is best known for their comfortable, modern and flattering cheongsam cuts for women of all sizes.
Dr Jade Kua, Paediatric Emergency Specialist

Dr Jade Kua is a paediatric emergency specialist and mother of 3 young children and 3 teenaged stepchildren. She is the President of The Association of Women Doctors Singapore 2016-2018. This year she launched a national campaign and an app to teach the community CPR and authored a children’s book.

Maddy is arguably Singapore’s highest rated English radio female presenter and currently helms Kiss 92FM‘s top rated breakfast show. With over 15 years of experience in broadcast, She is also the prolific founder of Singapore’s award-winning luxury jewellery design house, MADLY Gems. At 44, Maddy Barber has done more in her life than most would even dare dream of. The many hats she has worn stretches from media to internet, commercial to corporate, entrepreneurial to parenting. A happily married wife and mother of two, she is known most famously in the media industry as both a radio DJ, and sought-after emcee and speaker.

Su-Lyn is a communications specialist with deep-rooted ties to the F&B industry. The Ate Group, which she co-founded in 2006, provides companies with innovative lifestyle solutions for their marketing needs by tapping on specialists across three disciplines: Brand Strategy, Brand Content, and Brand Communications. Past and present clients include Odette, Iggy’s, TWG Tea, Lexus and Hermès. A successful entrepreneur, fashion icon, and social media darling, Velda entered the world of fashion when she set up blog shop juggernaut Love, Bonito when she was just 18-years-old. In 2013, she moved on to bigger and better things with her own fashion house – a luxurious yet affordable brand for discerning tastemakers who possess a keen eye for detail. The serial entrepreneur has also dipped her toes into the world of F&B. She launched lobster-centric restaurant Pince & Pints with husband Frederick Yap. Her current goal is to expand her eponymous label on a global platform and keep raising the bar for the local fashion scene.
Yvon Bock, Founder and Managing Director of Hegen

Yvon Bock, 39, is the Founder and Managing Director of Hegen, Singapore’s leading homegrown mother and baby care brand with a growing international presence in over 15 markets. She spearheads the creation of innovative and high-quality breastfeeding products that meet the needs of a growing child. When she was pregnant with her second child in 2006, Yvon took on a management trainee role at Fitson and sought to transform her family business. She catalysed the company’s rapid expansion over the next five years. Her experience at Fitson inspired her to start her own business, creating a line of mother and baby care products for mothers –by a mother.
