Rub pure tea tree oil on areas where you suspect the cockroaches are coming from.
Cockroaches tend to hate the smell of citrus and fresh-smelling oils like tea tree and peppermint so keep some at home.
Alternatively, you can mix some water and tea-tree oil and make a chemical-free insecticide. As cockroaches breathe through their skin, the oil can actually suffocate them.

The strong smell of coffee grounds can be pretty off-putting for cockroaches so if you suspect that they’re coming into your house from a certain entry point, place some coffee powder there.
Commonly recommended by exterminators, borax helps to dehydrate the cockroache’s skin so they’re suffocating.
The sugar on the other hand acts as a bait so when consumed together, they form a deadly combination.
The chemicals on dryer sheets can sometimes irritate the cockroaches’ skin and deter them from entering.
Cockroaches (and plenty of other pests) are said to hate the smell of garlic so crush some cloves scatter them around the house.
Alternatively, rub the cloves on surfaces you think cockroaches like to be on and watch them avoid it like the plague.
