- For Weak, Ageing And Colour-Treated Hair
Texture Smooth Double Treatment, $400 (30min) at Salon Vim
This is quick and efficient – and promises results that last up to six weeks.
It is said to reform the disulphide bonds – responsible for the strength and elasticity of tresses – that are broken during bleaching and colouring, and make hair stronger than before.
It includes the use of a serum with marine collagen and amino acids that deals with signs of hair ageing, like dullness, brittleness, and coarseness.
There is also a protein concentrate to transform damage, a blend of hydrating as well as shine-boosting essences to improve hair’s appearance, and a special polymer that is supposed to lock in all the beneficial ingredients by sealing the cuticles, and preventing colour fading.

Reconstructing Treatment, from $130 (60min) at Hairloom
Known as the go-to salon for bleached pastel dos, it’s no wonder this treatment, which uses Olaplex, is so popular.
The two-step Olaplex promises to leave hair feeling soft and natural again by restoring the disulphide bonds.
First, a Bond Multiplier with the active ingredient bis-aminopropyl diglycol dimaleate is mixed with water, applied directly to dry hair and left for at least 5min before a creamy mask with the same active ingredient is generously brushed
over it and left to work for 10min.
Afterwards, hair is rinsed, shampooed, conditioned and styled.

Goldwell Kerasilk Repower Volume Service, from $150 (45-75min) at Evolve Salon
The new Kerasilk Repower range from Goldwell coaxes a bouncy, voluminous look out of limp, thin hair.
Its formula boasts elastin and keratin – proteins that are meant to strengthen hair and boost volume and shine.
The treatment doesn’t take long either. It entails a shampoo, a 15-minute mask with Kerasilk Repower Intensive Volume Treatment, and a serum for extra volume.
The results are said to last up to 10 washes, and you can help prolong that salon-fresh fullness with Kerasilk’s products for home use.

Kerastase Advanced Hair & Scalp Spa Ritual, $318 (120min) at J’s Salon
Prepare to be pampered in the head spa section with cushy reclining seats.
The massage-centric treatment is based on the results of Kerastase’s own pro diagnosis system, which is said to magnify tresses and the scalp by up to 500 times to pinpoint its needs – from hair loss, excessive sebum, and clogged follicles to dandruff, dryness, sensitivity and inflammation.
You are then treated to scalp and hair treatments as well as pampering massages in this 11-step ritual that promises to soothe, hydrate and resolve your problem before you leave.
Level 3 Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel
Trilogy System, $155-$375 per session (45-100min) at Chez Vous
This requires three monthly visits, but the results – much-improved manageability and resilience – are said to be worth it.
The first involves using a Synchronised Advanced Hair Rebuilder. It combines an amino acid complex with bond-rebuilding ingredients and is meant to improve hair from within.
The second: Resculpting Supreme, a re-texturising service, enhances sleekness and shine, and reduces the effect of humidity and static, so hair looks good with minimal styling.
Finally, Express Revitalising Supreme is said to infuse strands with eight potent ingredients, including hyaluronic acid and peptides, via an ultrasonic delivery system for lasting smoothness and lustre.
In some cases, the salon recommends up to seven visits involving the different treatments.
