#1 It’s easy to apply
Liquid lipsticks usually come in a tube with an applicator which resembles that of a lip gloss. You can control the amount of product easily, and determine the shape of your lips with ease. Apply product on the bottom lip first, press your lips together and then fill in the cupid’s bow for more precise application.

#2 It’s highly pigmented
Liquid lipsticks are one-coat-wonders for those who lose dramatic and vivid lips. However, if you do prefer the colour to look a little less opaque, blot some of it off while it’s still wet to achieve the effect of stained lips.

#3 It doesn’t feel dry
Liquid lipsticks offer the high shine of a lip gloss, and the colour intensity of a lipstick, and are often formulated with moisturising ingredients to keep you pucker hydrated. That said, some liquid lipsticks dry off to a matte finish, so be sure to apply lip balm beforehand so that your lips don’t dry out.

#4 It lasts longer
The creamy texture of liquid lipsticks ensure that it reaches into the nooks and crannies of your lips. They also contain long-wearing polymers to help them stay put throughout the day. Removing them can be a tad challenging, and we recommend oil-based removers to break down the product without trying your lips out.

#5 You can control its intensity
While one coat is usually enough for pigmented lips, you can vary its intensity easily. The liquid formula even allows you to create an ombre lip easily by just dabbing colour on the inside of your lips and pressing your lips together to spread the colour out. If you’re feeling adventurous, apply the inner portions with one colour, line the rest with a different colour and blot to see what you get.
