This super grain started gaining popularity in the recent years but quinoa has slowly made its way from the supermarket aisles to our beauty counters. Quinoa packs plenty of antioxidants, proteins, fatty acids and amino acids. Most skincare products that contain quinoa would usually list it as “hydrolyzed quinoa” and “quinoa-seed extract” – each has its own set of benefits.

Hydrolyzed quinoa, as its name suggests, is quinoa that’s been broken down by water and contains mainly proteins from the grain, making it great for hair care products.
