Step 1 : Blow dry
Apply heat protectant to damp hair and blow dry using high heat and high airflow setting, without any attachments. The powerful airflow of Dyson Supersonic blows straight to the roots and dries hair much faster. Do so until hair is about halfway dry.
Step 2: Give it a lift
To achieve some lift, use the diffuser with the lowest heat setting to brush the root of the hair upwards to create voluminous hair.
Step 3: Smooth it out
When hair is about halfway dry, use medium heat and high airflow setting with smoothing nozzle and dry your hair downwards with a round brush. The strong airflow closes the cuticles, making hair silky and shiny.
Step 4: Style and curl
When your hair is around 80 per cent dry, switch to the styling nozzle and use high heat and high airflow, with the styling nozzle. The narrower airflow allows for heat concentration, making it easier to achieve loose curls. Using a round barrel brush, comb through as you curl small sections of hair to create loose curls. Concentrate the curling at the ends of hair. Use larger brushes to create bigger curls.
Step 5: Cool it down
Remember that hair continues being heated even after you stop applying heat on it. Use cool hair with the diffuser to set in the style so that it lasts. Finish off with styling products to seal in the style.
