It might sound like an excuse, but the heat and humidity really makes it hard for us to be fashion girls. This happens all the time. You’re wearing something sleeveless or thin because it’s hot outside and you want to feel airy but, the moment you’re in the office, it’s freezing.
This problem is mainly for women. You know wearing pants or even a long pencil skirt makes you look more presentable but sometimes it’s just too hot.
You can’t wear a big floppy hat or a fancy headband without atracting unnescessary attention. But don’t take it personally! People who stare are usually just admiring how fashionable you look.
Another problem mostly reserved women is the thigh sweat that happens when you’re wearing a skirt. It’s uncomfortable but we do it for fashion sake.
Oversized and airy white shirts are a staple for days when you’re too lazy to dress up but still want to look presentable yet. However, the moment you head out, you tend to sweat in them and it shows.
Stockings look super chic with dresses and street style stars absolutely love them but sadly, we can’t wear them in Singapore without feeling a tad uncomfortable in them.
So chic, but so warm as well.
We’re always envying the Kardashian sisters for wearing thigh-high boots without a care in the world but we can’t do it here in Singapore.
Plus, imagine having to take them off after a long day out.
You gotta admit, even if you’re a Singaporean fashion savvy being, sliders (the fashion world’s version of a flip flop) really made you happy.
It’s just not justifiable to wear something so skin tight when it’s 34 degrees outside.
