Korean makeup is usually about looking dewey and natural, but looks like that’s about to change in 2017.
More daring looks like black highlighter and “baking” the skin for a more made-up, velvety finish are on the horizon, according to some of Korea’s most popular online influencers.
You can watch their bite-sized videos on video-on-demand website Viu, which has recently partnered Korea’s DIA TV to provide free weekly tips on food, dance and beauty.

1. BLACK HIGHLIGHTER BY SUNNY
Who said you can only glow with bright highlighters?
This is more for the adventurous bunch, as black highlighters can get a little too much if applied wrongly.
Use a light hand to apply the highlighter on the cheekbones, and it can be used for contouring as well.
If it’s still too crazy for you, mix in a light highlighter above the black to tone everything down. This takes practice. You don’t want to look like you’ve been punched.
