1. Scented Candles At Typo
You can’t personalise your own candle scent (it comes in a standard vanilla scent) but you can adorn the jar with your friend’s photo and choose the lid colour — without additional cost. In this way, your friend will always think of you when she’s burning the candle.
The service is available at selected stores. Click here to find out more.
2. Custom-blended Serum Cocktail by Skin Inc
If you know your Secret Santa receiver’s skin type, why not gift her a serum that’s customised based on her skin type?
Skin Inc has an array of serumes that you can mix and match (up to three) based on specific skin concerns. You can buy a separate bottle for her to mix it into her own serum cocktail, or gift it as separate bottles so she can use it according to what her skin needs for the day are.
Serum, $169 for three 10ml bottles.
3. Custom name-plate necklace at Couple Lab
Some jewellers offer name-plating for gold and white gold necklaces, but if you don’t have a few hundred dollars to spare, go for this more affordable option at Couple Lab that won’t cost you more than $100.
You can even choose the font type and the length of the chain, ranging from 14 to 22 inches, available increments of two inches.
4. Nail Polish at Lacquer Bar
You can not only create your own nail colour, but also name it! If you know a colour she loves, bring a sample so they can capture the colour using a spectrometre.
Alternatively give them a Pantone code or show them of aphoto for them to emulate it.
You can adjust the colour until you get your desired result and then give it any name!
The whole process can take as short as 10 minutes (depending on how long you take to give the green light), so if you’re looking for last-minute gifts, this one’s a good one.
Lacquer Bar is currently having a pop-up store at esBoudoir in VivoCity (#02-227) from now till December 31.
Starts at $11 for 5ml
5. Fragrance Profiling At Penhaligon's
You might not be able to create your own bespoke fragrance here, but their fragrance profiling comes close.
If you’re adamant about customising your own notes, you can head to Jet’aime Perfumery, which has individual workshops to create your own fragrance at $500 per three-hour sesh.
6. Personalised Passport Holder at Ztyle
Want a personalised item for the globetrotter that is not an air ticket? Why not gift her this passport holder adorned with her initials? And we’re not talking about a two alphabet initial but 10 characters with either a gold or silver foil finish.
The passport holder is made of saffiano leather, so you can be sure it won’t tear after a couple of uses.
Passport holder, $59.90 each.
