It’s the end of 2017, so clear up some space in your closet to make way for the fashion trends of 2018! Sometimes space is still tight despite clearing away old clothes that you no longer wear, so read on for some space saving hacks that will help give you some extra space.
1. Underwear Packing
Instead of laying your bras flat, fold them in half and stack them up. Fold your panties and stuff them inside of the cups to help your bras retain their shape. This cuts down space in your underwear drawer by about half.
2. Stacking Hangers
For similar clothing, such as button up shirts of different colours, use a soda can tab to stack your hangers. You get to save space on the rack and you can easily pick which shirt you want to wear for the day.
3. Roll Your Socks
Roll up your socks into small balls and pack them tightly together in a box. You can do the same to panties as well, by packing them tightly together in a box to help you save more space.
4. Pin Necklaces/Bracelets
If you store your chain accessories in a box, chances are they get tangled up all the time. Prevent this by pinning them to a corkboard in your room. Not only is it easier to choose which necklace to wear for the day, it also serves as a pretty room decoration piece!
5. Stack Clothes Vertically
Instead of stacking clothes horizonrally, try stacking them vertically and packing them close to each other to maximise space.
6. Store All Your Tank Tops On A Hanger
With shower curtain rings or binder rings, hook your tank tops onto one hanger. That way, they will occupy less space in drawers or racks.
7. Use The Inside Of Closet Doors
Install a towel rack on the inside of your closet door to add more hanging space. Hang belts, scarves or ties to reduce clutter around your bedroom.
8. Use S-Hooks
Instead of hangers that take up more space, opt for S-hooks to hang your shorts or jeans. You’ll save more space and putting them up is much easier.
Clean Out Your Unwanted Clothes
If all else fails, look through your clothes one more time and decide whether some items are worth keeping. Items that are still in good condition can be donated, while others can be recycled!
