1. Use the right shampoo

2. Rinse with cold water
Wash your hair with cool or cold water and this helps close the cuticles, leaving the surface of strands smooth and shiny.
3. Blowdry with cool air
If a cold shower is not for you, then heed this tip: Blowdry with hot air followed by a blast of cold air. “This helps to lock in moisture, thus creating shine,” says PREP Luxe’s Creative Director, Maurice Chee.

5. Condition, condition, condition
Don’t skip the conditioning step, especially if your hair is very dry and damaged. One trick is to condition the ends before you start shampooing, as this helps protect your hair even more. 6. Incorporate hair oils into your regime

7. Pat gently to dry
Don’t towel off wet hair vigorously as this creates friction, causing breakage and frizz. This includes making a “towel turban” after your shower! Instead, squeeze out excess moisture by gently pressing hair between a towel.
