Here are some surprising habits that could actually aggravate your acne problems and make it worse. Find out what they are below.
1. You Keep Touching Your Face
Your hands touch plenty of dirty surfaces daily and when you touch your face, you’re simply giving bacteria another spot to spread and grow.
Another reason to stop touching your face is that according to the US National Institutes of Health, your hands are vehicles for plenty of different types of influenzas and viruses so when you’re touching places like your lips, nose and eyes, you’re giving these influenzas an invitation to enter your body.
2. You Don't Sanitise Your Phone
Thanks to your oil glands, your face produces plenty of sweat and oil that could every day that could end up transferring onto your phone whenever you’re talking on it every day.
Plus, because you use your hands to text, lots of bacteria and viruses could transfer onto your phone too.
3. You Don't Clean Your Compact or BB Cushion Sponges
We love our BB Cushions and compacts to death but they’re also the perfect place for bacteria to thrive on. While you apply your foundation or concealer with the sponges provided, oil and sweat also gets picked up from your face and placed back into the compact.
Make it a point to wash your BB Cushion’s at least once a week if you use it almost every day to keep bacteria from thriving there.
4. Exfoliating Your Face Too Much
Exfoliating your face too much cause dry skin out even more, tricking your skin into believing that it needs to produce even more oil. When that happens, your acne problems get even worse and break outs happen even more often.
5. You Wash Your Face Before Shampooing Your Hair
After washing your hair, shampoo residue, bacteria and dirt particles might end up on your face causing dryness and break outs to happen.
It’s best to wash your face after shampooing your hair instead to prevent this from happening.
