The Weekly teamed up with Takashimaya to host some of our readers for an exclusive shopping event.
Readers got to experience some of our favourite brands from Takashimaya’s range of womenswear, jewellery, shoes and bags.
Some of the womenswear brands include Elita (left) and Vermogen (right). Known for their feminine designs, Elita stocks a range of separates that feature pretty florals and soft pastel hues. Meanwhile, Vermogen is known for their timelessly elegant and versatile designs.
On top of fabulous new threads, readers were also introduced to jewellery brands like Monica Vinader (left) and Thomas Sabo (right). Both brands provided our readers with a wide selection of trendy jewellery designs that were also fun to wear.
To help get them in the mood for some retail therapy, Takashimaya gave our readers exclusive discount vouchers, so that they can shop to their hearts’ content.
Guests were also treated to yummy nibbles and drinks throughout the night.
Senior Fashion Stylist/ Writer Aaron Kok hosted a special fashion presentation, and dished out helpful style tips.
Team Weekly also took turns modelling fast and effortless ways to get dressed for work.
Beauty Editor Arissa Ha wore a super-chic tent dress from Vermogen, which is a great piece that you can throw on every morning without spending too much time fussing in front of the mirror. Her look is completed with Bronzallure bracelets, an oversized clutch from Suzette and heels from Aldo Shoes.
Next, Marketing Manager Fion Ng wore an eye-catching electric blue pleated dress from Anne Kelly, which was complimented by a Rootote bag and Thomas Sabo earrings and watch. This is a great look that takes you from day to night!
Third in the presentation was Senior Marketing Executive Vanessa Wong. To showcase the figure-flattering effect of a wrap skirt, she donned a crisp white top from Vermogen paired with a skirt by Elita. She also rocked a great leather belt bag from Aigner. Modern pearl accessories from Toscow and shoes from Staccato help to complete her look.
Last, but not least, Content Writer Seah Pei Jun showed the crowd how to wear sneakers to the office. (Hint: The key is to find a pair of sneakers that don’t look like they’re gym shoes!). For her look, Pei Jun is wearing a yellow top from LVER, a skirt from Vermogen, a bag from Jetsetter, shoes from Melissa and jewellery by Monica Vinader.
On top of shopping, guests were happy to mingle with each other (and to possibly find new shopping kakis!)
And let the shopping begin! Our readers roamed the three floors of Takashimaya to find new chic pieces to add to their wardrobe.
Plenty of our readers found themselves spoilt for choice, thanks to Melissa’s wide range of comfortable footwear.
Decisions, decisions! One of our guests inspects a potential new bag.
Happy readers with their new purchases! To sweeten their shopping night, readers who spent more than $138 in a single receipt also stood a chance to win an additional $200 shopping vouchers from Takashimaya.
