Just a couple of days ago, Hugh Jackman a.k.a Wolverine posted an image on Instagram with disturbing news of him removing a basal cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer, for the sixth time.
Basal cell carcinoma is the most common occurring form of skin cancer and often looks like red patches or open sores. They’re often treatable if detected early, which is why Hugh Jackman advocates frequent check-ups and of course, wearing sunscreens.

His first encounter with Basel Cell Carcinoma (BCC) was in 2013 when his wife Deborra-Lee Furness, urged him to get a mole on his nose checked out and thankfully he did, because it turned out to be BCC and it was detected early.
The 48-year old actor comments, “Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”, very much like how we often advocate the use of sunscreen.
