After their surprise whirlwind marriage nearly four months ago, Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, 45, and South Korean musician DJ Koo, 52, finally revealed their wedding photos.
They had rekindled their romance after over two decades apart, and following the divorce of Hsu and her first husband, Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, 40, in November last year. They share two children.
Their photos show the bride donning a series of unconventional bridal outfits, from a pink off-shoulder Rachel Gilbert dress to a black and white jumpsuit by Ports 1961, styled with a netted bridal veil.
The makeup artist of Dee Hsu, Barbie’s sister and fellow celeb, also uploaded a snap of the couple’s intimate wedding dinner to Instagram. There was also a shot of the couple, with two ‘wedding rings’ tattoed on their finges.
On a recent episode of the South Korean variety show You Quiz on the Block, hosted by entertainers Yoo Jae-suk and Jo Se-ho, DJ Koo (whose real name is Koo Jun-yup) shared more about their marriage and relationship. He recounted how he reconnected with her 20 years after they first dated, and how he proposed over a video call as they were in different countries.
They also registered their marriage in both South Korea and Taiwan.
He also declared, “Thank you for accepting me after 20 years. For the rest of our lives together, our days will be happy and healthy. I will be by your side, protecting you, loving you, cherishing you. I love you, Barbie.”
