“Why is my staycaytion here?” local actor Jeremy Chan posted on his Instagram Stories, looking miserable while lying on a hospital bed and hooked up to an oxygen tank.

The 39-year-old was admitted to the hospital on Sunday afternoon (Aug 23) for an allergic reaction caused by an injection.

The actor, who has been married to actress Jesseca Liu for three years, added: “This is the first time in my life riding an ambulance.”

Jesseca, 41, told 8 Days magazine that the cause for the hospitalisation was a drug allergy. She said he went to the clinic for an injection but his body rejected it and he was sent to the hospital.

She continued: “He puked, and his whole body was shaking after the reverse jab, and he had difficulty breathing.”

According to Jesseca, Jeffrey has been having rashes, fever and body aches. He has since had another jab in the hospital, and it is unclear when he will be discharged.

It’s great to see that Jeffrey—who is known for roles in films such as comedy Lucky Boy, as well as in dramas including the Mediacorp production, Super Dad — did not fail to see the humour in the situation. Speedy recovery Jeffrey!
