It’s official. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have welcomed a second child.

On the Archewell Instagram page and website (the pair’s non-profit organisation), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote a message of thanks, sharing, “On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could ever have imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.”

Named  Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, the baby girl and sister of Archie Mountbatten Windsor is named after Queen Elizabeth II (she’s nicknamed Lilibet) as well as the late Princess Diana.

Baby Lilibet was delivered at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA, at 11.40am on Friday, June 4. She weighed in at 7lbs, 11 oz at birth.

The pair shared the happy news of the pregnancy in February this year, and also revealed the gender of the baby during the now-famous tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

Prince Harry and American actor Markle married at Windsor Castle in May 2018, and their first child and son Archie was born a year later. They now reside in  Montecito, an upscale area near Santa Barbara, California.
