There’s something to be said about having hotpot in cold weather.
Which is probably what inspired the collab between Haidilao Hot Pot and Ice Magic, the winter-themed pop-up at the Bayfront Event Space. The attraction, originally slated to end its run on Jan 1, 2023, has been extended to Jan 29, 2023.
From Jan 13 to 29, 2023, visitors will get to dive into a steamy bubbling Haidilao hotpot amidst Ice Magic’s frosty sub-zero temperatures. Available for dinner only, guests can choose from either the Hi Magic Beef set or the Hi Magic Pork set. Each also comes with ingredients such as Haidilao’s signature prawn paste, alongside sliced fish, chicken, vegetable platter, and cheese tofu.
The experience is available for groups of two, four and six, with two seatings daily: 5pm to 6.30pm, and 7pm to 8.30pm.
Prices are $248 for two persons (bar seats), $488 for four persons (exclusive dining tent), and $698 for six persons (exclusive dining tent). Entry to Ice Magic is included, along with all of its activities that guests can enjoy before or after their hot pot session.
Booking slots for the Haidilao pop-up open Jan 13, 2023 (Fri) on Sistic’s website. An early bird discount of 10 per cent is available on Jan 14 and 15, 2023 (Sat and Sun).
Ski and snowboard lessons at Ice Magic
Hotpot’s not all that’s new that will be introduced at Ice Magic. There will also be ski and snowboard lessons, led by experienced instructors from the Singapore Ski and Snowboard Academy. Those completely new to the sport will be introduced to the fundamentals of skiing and snowboarding, and get to familiarise themselves with the equipment and gear safety. The lessons will also cover the basics of mobility, positioning, and balance on the snowboard or skis.
Each lesson will run for an hour long and gear rental is included.
Ice Magic will also organise the inaugural Ski and Snowboard Championship in Singapore where winter sports enthusiasts from all over the island can gather to show off their skills on the slope. Co-hosted alongside Singapore Ski and Snowboard Academy, the competition will take place on Jan 21, Sat, from 7am to 12pm.
Prices start from $560 for a group of four. Students of all ages (four years old to 80 years old) are welcome. Lessons are available daily from 10am to 9pm and can be booked online on Sistic from Jan 13, 2023, Fri.
Entry fee for the competition is $98 per person, inclusive of a goodie bag, free brunch and other
refreshments. Interested participants can register for the competition on Sistic.
