Hotel Jen’s in-house restaurant, J65, offers a decent spread of local cuisine but eyes on the prize: you’re here for the salads.
Embracing the Singaporean spirit of getting our money’s worth, it must be quite something if we’re recommending salad at a buffet.
Finish off by sampling all the Nyonya desserts, from banana cakes to kueh lapis (layered butter cake).

We love the vibrant ambience at LIME where chefs dish out local, Southeast Asian and international delights at the open kitchens.
Signature dishes range from Asian dishes like Thai green chicken curry to the healthier herb-crusted cod fillet. The hand-pulled pizza is great, but go easy on the filling dough so you’ll have space for the crowd favourite key lime pie on the long dessert table.

Parkroyal on Pickering, 3 Upper Pickering Street
A non-descript, humble Japanese restaurant, this is a hidden gem that only true Japanese foodies know about.
Stuff yourself silly with sashimi, tempura, grilled dishes and other Japanese dishes. Go easy on the sushi though as the rice can fill you up. Load up on sashimi instead!
Our only gripe is that dessert isn’t included, but for the quality of food at this price, you’re definitely already getting your money’s worth.

The vibrant ambience at Edge, with seven live food theatres, makes for an interactive dining experience.
Plus, plate clearing is done promptly to facilitate you going all out — we’re heading straight the fresh seafood, including Japanese scallops, Alaskan king crabs and more.

Fans of Indian cuisine are in for a treat — suffice to say, Melt’s Indian food station melted our hearts.
The royal tandoori selection includes tandoori oven-baked chicken, mutton, prawns and fish cubes, served with raita, chutney, naan and dhal, we were hard-pressed to make space for the European and Asian spreads.
You’ll also find a roast and a carving corner, as well as an outdoor barbecue station.

Tuck into the generous spread of international cuisine at the luxurious lobby of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel — the laid-back yet lavish ambience has got to be one of our favourites of the lot.
Plus, themed bufft nights on top of the regular buffet spread from Tuesdays to Saturdays, from seafood nights (Tuesday) to Mediterranean delights (Fridays) and more.

If you love seafood, you’ll love Seasonal Tastes’ crab-tivating dinners. Highlights of the buffet include whole baked snapper with squid and clams, whole baked salmon and a carving station serving up roasted crispy pork belly, bone-in pork loin and roasted striploins.
Save some tummy space for the different varieties of crab available including salted egg yolk, yellow curry, spicy sour plum sauce and the famed Singapore chili crab.
