Concrete floor, checked. Marble coffee tables, checked. Ludlow Coffee Supply has all the makings of a hipster coffee joint… and more. Besides serving up a good cup of joe (we actually came here three times in the week we were here), they also have a barber shop, Ludlow Barber Supply.
The temperature of the lattes are impeccable, with the coffee tasting faintly of flowers (the only other place that served a latte which could rival theirs was Monmouth Coffee in London)

Occupying just a small corner store, Gasoline Alley Coffee is a unassuming little cafe with just a couple of seats. Like cars at the gas stations, most people just fill up and leave, but the coffee they take with them is absolute bliss.
We ordered an iced latte to beat the summer heat, and despite how cold drinks usually numb out the palete, the coffee was robust and flavourful.

#3 Stand Coffee NYC
Stand Coffee NYC is more like travelling a coffee nomad, travelling to all parts of New York to serve up great cuppas. We chanced upon them at Smorgasburg, a weekend food market. They didn’t even have a signboard, just a picture of a coffee mug with legs as their calling card.
Chancing upon them is akin to finding a rare Pokemon, but if you wanna go on a hunt, be sure to find out where they will be located on their website or Instagram.

We’ve seen plenty of football bars, but this is the first football cafe we came across. Never mind that the cafe has a hole-in-the-wall vibe, it has no lack of customers that stream in daily for their coffee, plus, it’s located right next to a small football field. If you’re more health conscious, they even have healthy shakes, smoothies and yogurt for sale.

#5 Toby’s Estate
You might have heard of Toby’s Estate as they have a branch in Singapore. Toby’s Estate has their own coffee roaster in the store, where they are able to control the quality as they are roasted in small batches. If you have the time to stop by for food, try out their hearty serving of toast with scrambled egg and avocado.
