You can also head out to Da Maria for some super-delicious late-night pizzas, or take a 10-minute drive to Jari Menari for their signature four-hands Balinese massage.
Plus, here’s a little tip: instead of having to fight with the masses at Potato Head Beach Club for a good spot to watch the sunset, go to Dash Hotel Seminyak‘s rooftop bar instead. It offers you a completely unblocked view of a beautiful Balinese sunset, and reasonably priced drinks.

Want to escape the insanity of Kuta and Seminyak? Head to Breezy Point Villas in Nusa Dua instead. Situated on a sloping hill, you’ll be pampered by warm service staff and a killer view of the crystal blue ocean waters. It’s also a short drive to Geger Beach, where you can rent a sunbed for a small fee to relax and unwind.
For dinner with the family, bring them to Paon Doeloe, which is about 15 minutes away from the villa, and tuck into authentic Indonesian dishes. Make a stop at the Batara Dive & Watersport as well, where your kids will have tons of fun snorkelling.

Here, you can enjoy the luxury of having your own pool, poolside terrace and an al-fresco lounge to relax in during the evening.
A 15-minute drive gets you to Malaika Secret Moshka, where you can enjoy healthy organic dishes that are also super yummy. You can even sign up for a cooking class to learn how to make these nutritious dishes! And for dinner, Kayu Manis is also a short drive away, where you’ll be treated to amazing western dishes that are affordably priced.

Don’t be confused by a similarly-named property on Nusa Ceningan, because the Aqua Nusa Lembongan is located on the bigger Lembongan island. Situated atop a cliff, you’ll be treated to sweeping views of the crashing waves and beautiful sunsets each evening.
Lembongan island is about a 30-minute boat ride from the Bali’s main island, but the journey is well worth the hassle. Because the island is less developed, you’ll enjoy nightly views of the majestic starry sky (we saw shooting stars when we were there). Fortunately, Aqua Nusa comes outfitted with all the modern conveniences one could desire. Air-conditioned bedrooms, indoor and outdoor pools and plush beds await you.
Plus, you can find great food at the nearby Hai Bar & Grill or The Deck – just be sure to make a reservation and ask them to arrange transport to and from the villa.

Ask anyone who’s in the know for a 5-star resort in Bali and you’ll be directed towards Alila Seminyak. Each of the resort’s suites is elegantly finished to ensure you’re kept comfortable and relaxed. Book into a terrace, garden or ocean-view suite to enjoy tranquil views, as you lounge in the super-soft bed. You can also sign up for morning yoga lessons, or request for a babysitter should you want a night out with your hubs.
Next to Alila is the famous Potato Head Beach Club, and just a 5-minute drive will take you to Merah Putih, where you can enjoy Indonesian food that’s cooked with a European twist.

Need a hotel with a bit more space for your kids? Check into the bvilla+pool, which is located in Seminyak. This two-bedroom property lets you enjoy the peace and privacy of having your own sanctuary, whilst still offering you the best that Seminyak has. Take a long, leisurely bath in the villa’s sunken tubs before you climb into the comfortable bed, or having a cosy dinner with your family at the dining pavilion.
Treat your aching muscles to a wind down at the nearby Ki. Shiatsu + Massage, where you’ll be pampered by experienced therapists. If you’re in the mood for somewhere fancy (without the exorbitant check), go to the nearby Bikini restaurant, where the food is always good and the ambience is always chic.

Best loved by couples looking for a quieter spot in Bali to rest, Ubud is now attracting more and more families who want to have a private place that they can relax and make holiday memories together. So if this is your cup of tea, then check out the Ubud Nyuh Bali Resort & Spa.
The biggest draw of this villa is definitely the calm and quiet you can look forward to when you’re staying in Ubud.
