Here’s to a quicker and more conventional festival for Children’s Day – pop by the Esplanade to let your children colour their own tote bags and have your photos taken with your family! Organised by Club Med, the Octoburst! Colour a Tote Bag event boasts over 140 performances for children of all ages, including theatre pieces, musical parades and a range of other performances. We grew up with the Merlion overlooking Sentosa like a sentry, but there will come a time when your children may forget it ever existed. Etch the image of the Sentosa Merlion into their memory with a final trip down memory lane. In this final month of its operations, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents will be entitled to half its admission price purchased online. This opens you up to the spectacular sight of the Sentosa Merlion Magic Lights, interactive games for your children and photo spots for cute family photos.

Even if you want a day out in town shopping, your family can still enjoy with what ION Orchard has in store over the coming weekends together. BANDALOOP, an American dance company that has performed in over 150 cities globally, will be showcasing their vertical dancing while being suspended 57 floors above ground level – all this while donning LED costumes with captivating lights and music! This is part of ION Orchard’s 10th anniversary celebrations, on top of other store openings and exclusive pop-ups.

Your kids probably can’t eat mala dishes but they will definitely want to dive into this mala hotpot-inspired ball pit at the airport’s Flavours of China playground that is filled with cushions resembling prawns, chilli, mushrooms, cabbage and carrots. Take the kids to this extraordinary, unforgettable performance where you can watch huge illuminated bears dance with various characters in Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay. The Bear’s Mouth is part of the Voilah France Singapore Festival by the French Embassy, which showcases the partnership between France and Singapore.
