Following the successful launch of the LEGO DREAMZzz theme and TV series, popular family holiday destination LEGOLAND® Malaysia has rolled out an immersive LEGO DREAMZzz experience at the theme park.
Fans of the TV series will be treated to an exclusive 4D movie screening of ‘Z-Blob Rescue Rush’ before chasing down dream creatures in MINILAND, the park’s miniature Asia. Be rewarded with your own Dream Chaser ID Badge if you manage to hunt down all five escaped dream creatures. The kids can also hone their dream crafting skills but building their own dream creatures at the LEGO DREAMZzz brick tables, after which they can release these dream masterpieces into the dream world via an immersive portal mission. [STILL ON] Locious: The Universe of Now

Exploring important themes of climate change and sustainability via the innocent expression of Javanese folklore, this solo exhibition featuring award-winning Indonesian artist Galih Reza Suseno presents whimsical landscapes peppered with cute creatures that will captivate the hearts of both young and old.
Merging contemporary animation aesthetic with traditional motifs in a nod to neo-Impressionist Pointillism, Galih creates further texture and dimension on canvas by using modelling clay—a signature technique best appreciated up close. The Locious is named after Javanese lore which believes every element in nature (E.g. sea, tree, hill, river, etc.) has a Genius Locus or guardian spirit, which Galih has portrayed as a cast of adorable creatures. For those who prefer the big screen to performing arts, Sentosa is bringing back its popular screenings by the sea this September. Over three weekends, you can gather the family and friends down at Palawan Green for a chill sunset evening of food, drinks and Hollywood entertainment.

Presented by international theatre production company ABA Productions, this charming intergalactic stage performance dramatises yet another masterpiece from bestselling creators Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Described by One4Review, UK as “enchanting and incredibly engaging… a beautiful adaptation”, this stellar new show is bound to keep you and your kids spellbound.
Tall Stories is the same UK theatre company that brought to life The Gruffalo, The Snail and the Whale, Room on the Broom and many more. This performance is approximately 60 minutes without intervals, and is recommended for children aged three and above, although there is no official minimum age. In this 13th edition of SAFRA’s annual Swim For Hope, families can come together for a meaningful swim challenge that will benefit more than 15 charities, including Autism Resource Centre, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore, Down Syndrome Association and more. This year’s event specifically aims to show support for those suffering or recovering from mental health challenges, seeking to better their quality of life.
Suitable for children aged 6-12, the Families of Life Category allows a parent and child pair to register for either 1km or 5km swim distances at $35 and $50 respectively. Up to two additional family members may register at $12 each. Each participant will receive an event t-shirt, medal and goodie bag, and can opt to complete their swim either at a selected SAFRA Club, virtually at their own preferred location, or via a hybrid of the two if undertaking the 5km challenge. Week-Long Gala @ The Polliwogs

Popular indoor playground The Polliwogs is presenting a five-day gala spanning 3-7 September to celebrate the school holidays. Promising epic games and magic shows, enchanted unicorn cupcakes and other decadent delights, perfume wizardry and mind-boggling marble runs, here’s an exciting setlist you can consider. Kicking off the week with a “School’s Out Party” on Sunday, 3 September where the whole family can play together while being treated to mind-blowing magic and adorable mascots ($35 per person), the week will continue with more tailored activities for kids aged four and above.

PURE x Meddy Teddy Kids Yoga with Jimin & Skye

Pure Yoga is partnering with international mindfulness movement Meddy Teddy to host a healthy and worthy Yoga workshop series this September. With all proceeds dedicated to Singapore Children’s Society, this Yoga workshop will go some way in impacting the lives of underprivileged children, youth and families.
The workshop will be led by Jimin Choi, PURE Yoga’s kids and family yoga-certified teacher alongside her daughter, Skye. Teaching a series of age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques, this activity is a great introduction to yoga for kids aged 7-11. The workshop is for children only and costs $60 per child. Each child will receive the iconic posable Meddy Teddy Bear to accompany them in their yoga adventure.

RSAF55 Open House

To commemorate their 55th anniversary, RSAF will be celebrating with an open house this September holidays. This comes after a seven-year hiatus, and promises to be an exciting event for kids and adults alike. Families can ballot to enjoy a 15-20minute familiarisation flight which basically takes you on an exhilarating aerial tour around Singapore in an A330 MRTT, C-130, Fokker-50, CH-47 or DA40 aircraft.
Even if you can’t get in on the flights, the aerial capability displays, military working dogs demonstrations and aircraft weapons loading demonstrations, as well as performances and carnival games are bound to thrill. Also enjoy interacting with the uniformed airmen and women as you learn more about their roles in the RSAF and the history and future of the air force. Admission is free.

Ballet Under The Stars 2023

Singapore Ballet proudly presents their annual picnic-slash-ballet party at the lush Fort Canning Green this September. Take the whole family out for a relaxing evening of ballet in the breeze (hopefully!) and lie under the stars as you admire the grace and elegance of our local star ballet troupe under the open night sky.

Little Red Riding Hood

This September school holiday weekend, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with Dandi Productions will be presenting a theatrical rendition of the beloved children’s classic Little Red Riding Hood. Pairing smart staging and clever lighting with SSO’s orchestral magic, the story will take you on a journey of melodic adventure and story-telling wonder. Like in Roald Dahl’s reworked version of the fairy tale though, some kids may be surprised to discover that this play ends with a happy twist. Tickets are priced at $25 and $35, and families purchasing more than four tickets will enjoy a 10% discount.
