Getting hitched or know someone who’s planning to tie the knot in 2022? A free wedding banquet could be yours — if you have a creative marriage proposal idea.
Hilton Orchard Singapore, which is slated to open its doors in March 2022 following an extensive revamp, is holding a “Hilton Winning Marriage Proposal” contest. And the grand prize is — *drumrolls* — a 15-table lunch wedding banquet worth over $19,000 at the hotel’s newly renovated pillarless ballroom decked with glittering chandeliers. This is redeemable in 2022.
The package will include a seven-course menu, a five-tier display wedding cake, your choice of wedding theme and floral decor, one barrel of beer and a bottle of sparkling wine for the wedding toast, as well as a night’s stay in the bridal suite with welcome amenities and breakfast for two served in the room.
From now till Nov 21, 2021, couples in Singapore can upload their most creative proposal video (that spans a minimum of 30 seconds) on Instagram or Instagram TV alongside a caption that describes their proposal in no less than 150 words.
The post should also include the tag @HiltonSinagporeOrchard and hashtags #HiltonWinningProposalContest #HiltonSingaporeOrchard #Opening2022 to stand a chance to win. Participants will also have to follow @HiltonSingaporeOrchard on Instagram. Don’t forget to set your Instagram profile to public, and tag your future spouse.
Don’t manage to snag the top prize? The prizes to be awarded to the first and second runner-ups aren’t too shabby either. They will include a one-night stay in one of Hilton Singapore Orchard’s King Suites and a breakfast for two adults.
According to the hotel, “entries will be judged based on the creativity of the proposal (60%) and emotional appeal
(40%). The grand prize winner and two runner-ups will be selected by Hilton Singapore Orchard and announced on Instagram on or around Dec 3, 2021 at 12:00hrs GMT+8.”
