By now, you’ve probably already heard that the daughter of Macau casino tycoon Stanley Ho, Sabrina, is engaged to be married. Her fiance is 21-year-old Harvard student, Thomas Xin Qilong.
She was reportedly gifted a HK$500 million (S$87 million) property when she threw her engagement party and was also said to have received HK$100 million in gold and diamond jewellery from well-wishers.
Her brother, Mario, was kind enough to post some photos on social media:
Mario wrote in his caption: “I will miss her, yet I’m really happy for her. From now, remember to be respectful and filial to your parents-in-law. Remember to come home and visit us often. Stay healthy and have plenty of children.

Sabrina is one of Stanley Ho’s 17 children. Her mother is Angela Leong, his fourth wife. The 28-year-old heiress is currently the CEO of Poly Auction Macau and head of her own company, Chiu Yeng Culture, which promotes art and cultural events in the former Portuguese colony.
Sabrina’s now-fiancé, Thomas Xin Qilong, is a 21-year-old Harvard student who was born and raised in Harbin, China. He made headlines in 2016 when he became the second person ever from Harbin to be accepted into the elite school.
Sabrina announced her engagement on Instagram in March, posting a video of Thomas Xin Qilong proposing to her in September. A backdrop of pink, red and rose gold balloons could be seen behind the couple. The video also showed them releasing the balloons after she said ‘yes’.
The sweet video of their proposal was accompanied by a few selfies that showed off Sabrina’s beautiful engagement ring. We don’t know how much the ring is worth but knowing Sabrina and her penchant for all things luxurious, we’re guessing it costs a pretty penny. The ring looks to be a traditional solitaire but was worn alongside a pavé-set baguette diamond band.
In an interview with local media in 2016, Xin said he had read more than 200 books in English over three years of high school after finding the titles online in reading lists for American students. “The books ranged from history to economics,” Xin told Sohu.com. “Some of them were too technical and I didn’t understand them after the first reading, but I understood them after I read them again.”
Xin said his parents often took him with them travelling, and they had encouraged him to do whatever he was interested in, saying they would always support him. He is co-captain of the Harvard-Radcliffe Kendo Club and he also plays golf.
It’s thought that the casino heiress is at least five months along. In a series of photos she released on social media for Mother’s Day, she can be seen sporting a visible baby bump and surrounded by family holding onto pink baby clothes and pink balloons so it’s safe to say that Sabrina’s expecting a little girl!
When speaking to Hong Kong media, Sabrina said: “I’m so happy to finally announce the news of my engagement. After keeping it a secret for a while, Thomas and I look forward to entering this next chapter of our lives together. He makes me happy beyond belief and I’m over the moon and have already started planning our big day!”
