Welcome to the world, Baby Sussex! Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s royal bub was officially unveiled to the world today at a photo call which was held at Windsor Castle. He was cradled by proud dad Harry, as new mum Meghan couldn’t stop smiling beside them.

Their first public appearance was highly anticipated after it was announced Meghan and Harry had welcomed their son on Monday, May 6th. Determined to do things their way and avoid an overwhelming crowd, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex positively glowed as they debuted their bub to a group of small, select media outlets.

Dressed in a stunning white button up Givenchy dress and Manolo Blahnik heels, new mum Meghan looked simply radiant. Meanwhile, the new royal baby was swaddled in a white blanket looking peaceful and calm – too cute!
“It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy,” says Meghan, who also revealed that baby Sussex “the sweetest temperament” and is “really calm”.

After their first family photo shoot wrapped up, Meghan and Harry departed the historical grounds with Baby Sussex, and it’s expected they’ll return to their new home of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. It’s believed Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is staying with the couple to help out with their precious new bundle.
The young royal was born on 6 May, 12.26 pm Singapore time, and weighed about 3.2 kg, according to the official statement on the royal couple’s Instagram account:

The announcement read, “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz. The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”
New dad Prince Harry, who was by his wife’s side during the birth, stepped out to confirm the happy news at an impromptu media call. “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever have possibly imagined,” he says. He also reveals that they’re “still thinking about names” for baby Sussex, who will be seventh in line to the throne.
