1. Miam Miam’s Matcha Soufflé

This exquisite treat is an oozy pleasure waiting to be discovered. The matcha’s taste is quite light but goes really well with the fluffy texture.

Miam Miam is at: #02-14 Bugis Junction, 200 Victoria Street and #01-21/22 Westgate.

2. Antoinette’s Matcha Latte

Chef Pang’s “Fetish Matcha” at Antoinette (a seasonal collection of 22 matcha items available from May 27 till July 31) made us discover matcha in ways we never imagined. We love everything but are most impressed with this showstopper of a matcha latte – we’ve seen many pretty and cute matcha latte art but this one puts us on cloud nine.

Antoinette is at: 30 Penhas Road.

3. Ah Balling Peanut Soup’s Matcha Tang Yuan

This traditional Chinese dessert, which is basically glutinous rice flour balls with peanut or sesame fillings, gets a matcha update thanks to this traditional store trying out something different. It still retains its traditional taste but keeps it interesting with the flavour twist.

Ah Balling Peanut Soup is at: #01-25 Bedok 85 Market, Blk 85 Bedok North St 4.

4. Asanoya’s Matcha Yuzu Toast

A limited item, this matcha spread with yuzu slices on a toast is excellent! If you missed it, don’t worry – the Japanese bakery always comes up with seasonal matcha items from time to time, so keep a lookout for the next one!

Asanoya is at: #01-03 Wilby Central, 15 Queen Street.

5. Montana Singapore’s Matcha Strawberry Field Waffles

If you are looking for matcha waffles, look no further than the ones at this eatery. They are more known for their charcoal waffles, but the matcha waffle is really fragrant and one of the best we’ve tasted.

Montana Singapore (previously called Montana Brew Bar) is at: #02-25 POMO, 1 Selegie Rd.

7. Nunsaram Korean Dessert Cafe’s Matcha Bingsu

8. Dulcet & Studio’s Matcha Zen Cake

This place has super good Japanese sweets (the choux and cream puffs are heavenly) and this matcha sponge cake is no exception. Although it tastes light and airy, the layers of sponge, cream and azuki beans come together beautifully for a memorable dessert.

Dulcet & Studio is at: 177 River Valley Rd, 41 Liang Court.
