There are always long queues at Fluff Bakery, and their cupcakes always get sold out. So we are glad that they now have a pop-up kiosk in town at Pedder on Scotts (until June 2016). Go early if you want the best selections, they have exclusive flavours like Chocolate Orange Rosemary Caramel and Green Tea Lemon Pistachio Pop Rocks which sell out fast. If mum is not that adventurous, get her the classic flavours like Nutella Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and Ondeh Ondeh Cupcakes.

We cannot get enough of the fine Japanese pastries and sweets at Chateraise (located at the basement of the revamped Isetan Scotts supermarket). They have new items incoming every week, and limited seasonal releases. This new Apple Pie item sounds like a treat which will delight mum.

For something extra special, this matcha cake by Antoinette will wow mum… just look at it! We love the unusual look of the “moss” matcha powder around it, very creative. The best thing is this cake is sugar-free, so mum can indulge in it without worry.

For the kueh-loving mum, the Nonya kueh at HarriAnns Nonya Table is perfect. Made by 3rd generation kueh makers who followed their grandma’s heritage recipes, everything here is made by hand and as authentic as you can get them. The glutinous rice is delicious, and mum will be spoilt for choice by the selection of kueh.
