If you’ve only got 10 minutes, keeping your heart rate up is key to burning calories.
Here are 10 quick ways to blast those calories without breaking a sweat all that much! Plus, these activities are fun and super easy to do too.
A set of stairs isn’t hard to find.
Mix things up – run to the top, do 5 burpees or jumping jacks, run back down, and repeat.
Ta-da, quickest way to lose 100 calories!
It’s harder than you think digging around in the dirt.
Plus, you get rewarded with a pretty home. You could always learn to plant different types of plants and flowers and they could even protect your home from mosquitoes.
When jogging, burn more calories by adding in bursts of sprints for 20 seconds or so. Take the remaining 40 to recover, and repeat 10 times.
You can do the same for cycling, swimming, or any sort of cardio too.
Really get in there and get ALL the grime out – partly because you want a clean house, and partly because all that scrubbing burns the calories from brunch.
Do this for 50 seconds, rest for 10, and repeat for 10 minutes long. Each time, try to top your previous jump count.
Work in an occasional double jump (do one jump with the rope going around twice) to tone your abs, too.
Do squat presses with a pair of dumbbells of comfortable weight.
When coming back up, do so with a jump for an energy burst. It’ll keep your heart rate up and you’ll burn even more calories that way.
Whether it’s the sofa or the TV, rearraging the furniture in your house can help you lose weight.
Plus, you’ll get so inspired to redecorate, you might just start a little project of your own!
In Singapore’s insanely hot weather, we don’t see why not.
Plus, swimming burns you double the calories than running because you’re fighting water pressure too.
Not boring ones where all you do is run on a treadmill facing the wall – we’d be bored to tears, too. Try these super social workouts that’ll make you actually want to get moving.
We can’t think of a better way to burn the calories.
Laughing for 10 minutes a day – preferably more – can help you burn a considerable number. Not in a row, of course (You’re not a maniac, are you?), but it all adds up throughout the day.
