1. Honey And Ciinnamon Mask

Honey can help soothe inflammed skin while cinnamon has antimicrobial properties that can prevent bacteria from thriving on your skin.

Simply mix two tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon. Apply the mixture on your face and wait for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off.

2. Rice Water

Rich in nutrients, rice water is used widely in Asia as an acne treatment.

To do this, boil some rice in water and wait for it to cool down. Funnel water into a a glass jar or plastic bottle and leave in fridge. Take the rice water out after washing your face and apply it like you would a toner.

 

3. Egg White Mask

Full of proteins and vitamins, egg whites can help reduce acne and lessen the appearance of scars. It can also help tighten skin and rid it of excess sebum that could clog pores.

To do this, whisk two to three egg whites in a bowl and apply on your face. Allow for egg whites to harden before washing off.

4. Papayas

Containing an enzyme called papain, papayas can help reduce inflammation and rid your skin of dead skin cells and excess lipids. The result is smoother and softer skin.

To do this, mash up a slice of papaya and leave on your face for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once done, wash off and apply moisturiser afterwards.

5. Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has miraculous antibacterial, healing and soothing properties that can be used for just about anything! From insect bites to rashes and even acne, this natural oil is a must-have in your beauty bag.

Simply dab some tea tree oil onto acne prone areas with a cotton ball or cotton bud and you’ll soon be able to see results.

6. Strawberries And Honey Mask

Strawberries are high in salicylic acid that’s commonly found in commercially made acne treatments. Salicylic acid works effectively to clear your clogged pores and kill bacteria found on your skin.

Mash up some strawberries and about two to three teaspoons of honey. Leave the mixture on your face for about 20 minutes and wash off afterwards.

 

7. Aloe Vera Gel

Another beauty secret from Asia, aloe vera gel is commonly used to soothe inflammed skin and decrease the redness cause by blemishes.

Besides getting some from the plant directly, you can also get store bought aloe vera gel and apply it on affected areas.

8. Lemon Juice

The citric acid in lemon juice can help exfoliate skin and can help dry out pimples.

Dab some lemon juice with either a cotton bud or cotton ball. If it begins to sting, add some honey onto it.

9. Oatmeal

It’s a known remedy to reduce inflammation and heal sun burns, an oatmeal bath could also help soothe acne problems.

Make a batch of oatmeal and add some honey. Apply onto face and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes before rinsing off with warm water.

10. Sugar
image

Add some white or brown sugar, a tablespoon of course salt and olive oil together. Use it as a face scrub to unclog pores and keep skin feeling smooth.
