10 Tricks That Will Give You More Voluminous Hair
1. Pay Attention To Your Ends
image

This one’s a no brainer. Have you felt that your hair was thicker despite just having your ends trimmed?

Having clean and fresh ends is the answer to having thicker hair. Other than getting them constantly trimmed, locking in moisture in your ends will keep your hair looking great.

2. Snip Smartly

If you want voluminous hair, then shorter hair is the way to go.

A shorter length will encourage body and bounce without an ounce of effort. When hair is thin, it can easily verge on the straggly and stringy side.

So, kill two birds with one stone by chopping your locks off.

3. Cleanse And Condition

While fewer washings are supposed to increase health of your hair. However, if you have thicker hair, oil and grease might be a nightmare.

The solution to this is to use a volume-boosting, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to get the extra bounce.

Also, remember to only apply conditioner from the mid-lengths through the ends.

4. Tease It Once In A While

Teasing is so stigmatized in the hair world that it is rarely brought up in conversations.

However, it is a fool-proof way to add some volume to your lifeless locks!

5. Ponytails Are Your Best Friends

Double up on your hair ties when pulling your hair up into a ponytail to give your hair an added lift. The easiest hack to make your ponytail appear fuller, not floppy!

6. Watch How You Part

Switch up your part to give your hair an instant added boost.

Parting the opposite way is the chicest and easiest trick to giving fine hair some serious volume!

7. Leave Out The Oils

The first step to getting voluminous hair is to get rid of coconut oil.

Coconut oil acts as a coat of shine and will discourage volume by weighing hair down.  Try substituting a coconut oil mask for a well-balanced hair mask that incorporates oil with other hair-healthy ingredients.

8. Use The Right Brush

Using the right brush is key for any time of hair. Especially more so for those with thin hair.

Getting gentle and soft bristles are key to maintaining the silkiness and preventing further thinning.

9. Roll It Out

Velcro rollers are making a comeback! Rolling the top few layers of your hair into Velcro rollers can do wonders to thin and fine hair.

Get them rolled up and right before you head out the door, remove the rollers, fluff and spray with a light-hold hairspray.

10. Re-Think Your Flat Iron

Flat-ironing hair in a downwards movement has been the norm. But did you know that going in an upward motion gets you instant volume?

Try it the next time to give some fluff to your locks!
