10 Ways To Free Up Space On Your Smartphone
1. Delete Apps You Don't Use Anymore

Every app downloaded takes up a different amount of space in your phone. Gaming apps can take up a lot of space in your phone. Photo, Videos and Music can also take up a hefty amount.

If you know what’s taking so much space, you can start deleting from there.

2. Clear Your Internet Browser's Cache and Temporary Files

An easy and immediate way to free up some space is to delete temporary files and clear your cache.

3. Save Your Photos In A Smaller Format on your iPhone

Do go through your camera roll and delete some photos that you don’t want to keep. You can also save space by switching off the Keep Normal Photo under HDR (High Dynamic Range) at Setting > Photos & Cameras. Now only HDR photos will be saved.

4. Use Google Photos for Your iPhone Photos

If you still want to hold on to these photos, you can upload them to Google Photos or Drive. There is more storage space than iCloud and it’s free of charge. Once you’ve uploaded them, you can now delete the bulk of the photos on your camera roll.

5. Clear Your Messages

If you like sending pictures, audio files and other large files to your friends, it is likely that your messaging history is taking up a large portion of your phone storage. In Settings>Messages, you have the option to keep Messages forever, 1 year or 30 days. Regularly delete your texts on messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Viber and Telegram as well.

6. Visit Your Favourite Social Media Pages Through Browsers

Apps like Twitter and Facebook take up a lot of space. These social media platforms can be accessed through Safari and you’re not losing out! By flushing these apps away, it will free up space on your phone and save your battery life.

7. Uninstall Some Apps

Sometimes apps can collect cache. Like dust, there aren’t holding any important information. Delete the app and reinstall it again to free up a little space.

8. Restart Your Phone

Force restarting your phone will automatically make the system wipe clean of caches and files. Occasionally force restart by press and holding the Sleep/Wake and Home Buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Plus point: this helps your iPhone run a little faster too.

9. iBooks

Electronic Books are laden with audio, video and photos to increase the interactivity factor. This can waste gigabytes of your precious space. To remove books you no longer need, go to iBooks > Select some books > Delete.

10. Consider Getting An External Device For Your Smartphone

If you love listening to music or watching shows while on the public transport, perhaps you might want to consider getting an external memory stick.
