Rethink your morning routine with these clever beauty tips will save you time and still get you out of the house looking gorgeous:
Wash your hair on alternate days. Dry shampoo is one of the most underrated products in beauty history, so use it on days when you’re not washing your hair. Not only will it soak up excess oil, it will add volume too. And it’s so easy to use – just lift up the top layer of your hair, spray it on the roots, and lightly massage it in.
Woke up to serious bed hair? Step away from the hair dryer! Go with the flow by adding more texture. Just flip your hair over and spritz the roots with a texturising spray, then use your hands to scrunch in volume and create the style you want. Prefer a texturising powder? Dust it all over, focusing on your roots and the hair that frames your face. Finish by gently massaging any excess powder in, and within seconds you’ll be good to go.
Opt for a multitasking product that can be used on cheeks and lips. First, apply it to your finger and gently dab it onto the apples of your cheeks. Then swipe it across your lips. To set in place, lightly dust with pressed powder and that’s your morning face done!
If you want soft, glowing skin in the morning, reach for an overnight sleeping mask. They are usually occlusive in nature, so they help to reduce the amount of moisture your skin loses as you snooze, especially in an air-conditioned environment.
Kill two birds with one stone by using cleansing body oils or creams instead of shower gel. The moisturising formulas eliminate dirt and impurities while leaving your skin hydrated. Use a cleansing sponge for extra exfoliating power and apply it all over. When you get out of the shower, gently pat your skin dry.
