Try swapping beef or pork mince for lentils. Lentils will bulk up your meal and make it nice and hearty with its filling quality. They are also a great source of plant-protein.
Yes, it’s a fruit, but jackfruit holds up incredibly well in meat recipes. Try it in pulled BBQ sandwiches or use it in stir-fries, where the sauce can counter some of the fruit’s natural sweetness.
Swap crunchy bacon for tempeh (it’s made from soybeans). You can flavour it using a marinade and slice it thinly for that extra bite and texture in your cooking.
