Here are some common things that can easily alter the size, shape and texture of your breast.

Sex

During sex, there’s an increase in arousal and excitement. When this happens, your heart rate increases, causing your heart to pump more blood so that oxygen reaches different parts of the body faster.  

As such, parts of your body like your breast and clitoris swell with blood. As such, this swelling could alter the size of your breast temporarily and it’ll feel even more sensitive when touched. 

Ovulation

During ovulation, hormones cause chemicals like estrogen and progesterone to increase. When this happens, blood flow also increase to your breast. 

This is one of the reasons why breast can feel tender and uncomfortable. 

Exercise

Besides weight fluctuations, exercise can also cause muscle growth and development to happen around the chest area — especially so when you’re doing arm exercises or lifting weights.

 The muscle strengthening and growth could also result in your breasts looking perkier! 

Menopause

If you’ve been experiencing signs of menopause and find that your breasts have also been changing in their size and shape, chances us, it’s because of lose estrogen levels. 

During menopause, the chemicals estrogen and progesterone — which are responsible for your periods — stop producing, resulting in changes in your body.

Smoking can affect the way that your body processes oxygen, as such, this can affect and weaken the muscles that hold your breast up. 

Smoking also introduces free radicals in your body which can affect the collagen and elasticity of skin.
