1. Frozen Bananas

It offers a yummy treat which is low in calories but gives you high energy. For a deliciously healthy summer dessert, whiz a frozen banana in a blender. The result? Tasty soft-scoop “ice-cream” that’s low in calories, fat-free and contains no dairy or added sugar.

Juicy and sweet, it isn’t just low in fat. Pineapple also contains bromelain, an anti-inflammatory digestive aid that’ll help flatten your tummy. Snack on some between meals to boost your digestion.

This classic picnic food is packed with filling protein and loads of vitamins and minerals. A simple hard-boiled egg salad for lunch (go easy on the mayonnaise!) will keep you feeling full until dinner.

This super low-calorie food with a filling, meaty texture is great on the barbeque. Try marinating long slices in 1 tsp each oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and chopped herbs before grilling.
