These Foods Give You More Benefits When Cooked
Tomatoes

When cooked, tomatoes allow for better absorption of the compound lycopene.

People usually take lycopene to prevent heart diseases and strengthen their arteries to prevent different types of blood diseases. Lycopene is also said to fight prostate, breast and lung cancer.

Carrots

We love munching on carrot sticks as a snack but did you know? It’s got even more benefits when cooked!

Not only do carrots contain lycopene, it also has antioxidants and beta carotene. Beta carotene helps with the production of vitamin A to encourage the production of skin cells and improve your immune system too.

Asparagus

We really wouldn’t recommend you eating asparagus raw. They’re hard and tough!

Besides, cooking them brings out amazing benefits and allows for your body to absorbs its antioxidant properties better.

Spinach

Just like carrots, spinach when cooked will release higher levels of vitamin A and allows for other nutrients like iron and calcium to be absorbed more readily into the body.

Capsicum

Capsicum or bell peppers can help to reduce the body’s overall cholesterol levels when cooked. Delicious!
