With news of Taylor Swift and Coldplay‘s concerts being sold out despite being multiple-day events, Singapore has become a hotspot for large-scale concerts. For the lucky few who managed to score tickets, the focus now shifts to what you’d like to wear on the day itself.

And with the concerts of Sabrina Carpenter, Lauv and Charlie Puth coming right up, this is the perfect opportunity to try out various makeup looks you’d like to wear once these major stadium concerts come around next year. Keep scrolling as we feature four celebrity makeup looks we’d like to try this summer, from Zendaya’s soft, smoky eyes to Blackpink’s Lisa’s rhinestone glam.

Four Celeb-Inspired Makeup Looks For Your Next Concert
Taylor Swift: Long-wearing complexion
custom

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Taylor Swift is making a world tour stop here in Singapore and just about everybody has tried to queue for tickets. The combination of dramatic costumes, singing and dancing done throughout her concerts would undoubtedly result in a lot of sweat, especially coupled with the summer temperatures here. Yet Swift’s makeup is able to weather it all and look as fresh at the end as it did at the start.

The key to a long-wearing complexion begins with proper skincare to ensure that your skin is well-hydrated and moisturised to last through the wringer you’re going to be put through. The addition of a sheet mask, for example, can give your skin added nourishment. Next, you have to pick complexion products – primers, foundations, powders and the like – that have been formulated to be long-wearing. Even better if they’re waterproof, sweat- and humidity-resistant so they can survive the balmy heat.

The Lancôme Teint Idole foundation ticks all the above boxes, being water- and humidity-proof as well as sweat-resistant thanks to the Airwear technology. The thin and lightweight formula offers a natural matte full-coverage finish while being powered by pigments that keep the colour true to shade without creasing or caking. It also contains hyaluronic acid, moringa oil, vitamin E and prebiotics for extra nourishment.

Zendaya: Soft, gentle eyes
custom

Concerts in Singapore are often at night, whether it’s a weekend or weekday. Zendaya’s soft smoky eyes are a quick way to play up your femininity without being too intricate with the details, which you can easily do before work and touch up in the evening. Just take a light- to mid-tone shade to blend all over the crease, a slightly deeper brown to sculpt a winged, cat-eye effect, and top it all off with some sparkly shadow. And of course, several lashings of mascara and a thin stroke of eyeliner are needed to complete the easy look.

Blackpink's Lisa: Gemstone goddess

If you have more time to play with your concert makeup, take a leaf from Lisa’s book and adorn your face with some well-placed glitter. After doing a simple sweep of colour over the eyelids, use tweezers and your creativity to curate your own dramatic sequinned look — guaranteed to stand out among the crowd.

Ariana Grande: Monochromatic cut crease
custom

Another low-effort yet impactful makeup look comes from none other than Ariana Grande. This is a cut crease created with a single bright colour that pops against the colour of her skin and eyes, which is then extended to give further drama akin to a graphic liner effect. Using a detail eyeshadow brush, sketch out the cut crease before filling it in with the chosen shade.
