Best Waterproof Liquid Eyeliners That Stay All Day
One of the biggest issues any girl with oily eyelids will face is finding an eyeliner that will stay put all day. Singapore’s climate is especially unforgiving, with the heat and humidity only serving to encourage slipping and sliding of your carefully placed eye makeup.
There are ways to prolong the wear of any eye makeup, liner included, chief of which is to always use an eyeshadow primer, and to set that primer with a setting powder before going in with your eyeliner.
If you’ve got all that down pat, click through the gallery slides above for our favourite new liquid liners to try that are wonderfully pigmented, waterproof and (mostly) easy to apply.
This super sleek eyeliner is quite possibly my favourite to look at and hold. The felt tip is wonderfully precise and easy to work with, making it possible to draw the perfect wing. If you’re looking for a seriously inky black liner with a slight sheen, this one will get you there in one or two coats. Wear-wise, once the liquid sets it’s basically waterproof and budge-proof.
#2 shu uemura calligraph-ink Liquid Eyeliner Pen, $58 and $29 for refill
This is another eyeliner that’s gorgeous in design. I love the look and feel of the calligraphy tip, but I will admit that it’s more difficult for beginners to use as the brush tip is larger and softer than most. It requires a very steady hand, but with enough practice, you’ll love using it as it doesn’t tug at your eyelids and just glides right over very gently. It’s especially great for tightlining your eyes – perfect for that subtle workday look.
#3 Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, $32
A slightly more affordable option out of the bunch is this cult fave from Kat Von D. The shade Trooper is a satin black, and though it’s not as black on first application as I initially expected, it can be built up with a couple more swipes. On the plus side, it boasts a tip that’s really easy for beginners to use. If you want a beginner-friendly and less pricey liquid liner that stays put on oily eyelids, this one should be right up your alley.
#4 3CE Super Slim Pen Eyeliner, $19
This has been said to be so waterproof it’s actually hard to remove. If that sounds like something you need, then you should pick up this eyeliner from 3CE ASAP. It’s got an exceedingly fine and small tip, which means it’s ideal for razor sharp wings or very subtle tightlining. It even comes in brown for a softer look, and is the most affordable option of the lot!
