Brown and beige eye shadow can get boring after a while, so if you’re looking for ways to inject a little colour into your makeup look, here are some simple ways you can do it!
This look takes inspiration from the drawn-in lower lashes a la Twiggy in the 60s but instead of only black eyeliner, try using coloured glitter to add a little sparkle. Perfect for an understated evening look.
Not for the faint of heart, this look requires a steady hand. Start by drawing a line along the brow bone and then extending it upwards into a design you like, then filling it in with colour.
Got a beautiful blush colour that you just can’t get enough of? Extend it upwards onto your eyelids with a smaller brush but go easy if your blush colour is on the darker side or it’ll look very overwhelming.
Don’t underestimate how cheerful a few coats of coloured mascara can be. Even if you have no eye makeup on, adding on some green or blue mascara can really brighten up your complexion.
If you’re used to drawing dramatic winged eyeliner, swap out the black eyeliner for a blue one instead to make it less severe looking.
This is one of the easiest to create. Simply apply some colour onto the brow bone area with a square brush. You don’t even have to be too neat about it.
Love bright sunny colours? Go crazy with some yellow and orange eye shadow and let your sunny side shine.
This look is the perfect excuse for breaking out the stash of colour eyeliners you’ve been meaning to use. Try different combinations on the upper and lower lash line, and even the inner and outer corners of the eye.
